VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED !

Pilney is a chartered member of Little League Baseball, Inc. and receives no funding from the government or any tax sources. This league is an all-volunteer organization operated by a Board of Directors who are parents just like yourself. If you can lend your help, even for just one event a year, please let us know at registration or call the league at (504) 457-0080.

Some of the many areas in which you can help include the following:

Jamborees: Help hanging banners, selling chips or drinks, or awarding trophies and prizes.
Registration: Help to enroll each year’s players.
Uniforms: Work with our supplier to make sure that everyone is properly outfitted by opening day.
Umpire Coordinator or Umpire: Work with Metro Umpires; or serve as an Umpire.
Equipment Coordinator: Help purchase and distribute the baseball equipment.
Board Member: Like all volunteer organizations, we need parents of Tee Ball or Minor League age players to join and help establish the direction of the league.
Sponsor: Become a team sponsor and help fund the cost of uniforms for the players, managers, and coaches while advertising your company or firm, or help us market the league to obtain team sponsorships by others.
Manager or Coach: Teach baseball fundamentals and lead teams at practices and games.
Safety Officer: Pilney has implemented many safety rules intended to assure a good, safe, and productive program. In furtherance of this goal, Pilney is interested in obtaining the services of a qualified health professional to act as Safety Officer and to help run our safety program.
