Players between the ages of 5-18 are eligible to register to play (cut off date is August 1). Pilney’s playing leagues include Tee Ball, Minor, Major, Senior, and Big Leagues. Pilney is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors and each playing league has its own vice-president.

Players in the Major, Senior, and Big League are eligible for post-season play in national tournaments. The 11-12 year old players who are selected to play on the Major League Tournament team are the group who compete for the chance to appear in the Little League World Series Championship on ABC-TV each August.

All Tee Ball, Minor, and Major League games are played at Lafreniere Park. Tee Ball teams are typically scheduled to play a 14-game season, with the Minor and Major teams scheduled for 16 games. Senior League teams normally play a 15-game season, including games at Lafreniere Park, Robert, Tickfaw, and LaPlace. This year will be the third for our 16-18 year old Big League team, and a 12-game schedule against teams from LaPlace, Marksville, and Baker are anticipated.
